MTC’s Kenya partner, Daniel Kyalo, teamed up with 4 other Kenya 1for50 members to provide children’s ministry training and facilitate a 3-day VBS Outreach in Burundi July 7-15, 2024.
During the first half of the trip, the team conducted training sessions for pastors, church leaders, teachers, and children’s workers, emphasizing the importance of reaching, discipling, and empowering children for the Great Commission.
The team provided training for 45 children’s workers, 6 social workers, and 6 church leaders.
The trainings were well received, and churches are already acting on what they’ve learned. Several parents who participated in the training sessions are now volunteering in children’s ministry. Others reported that they’ve been challenged to parent their children in more godly ways.
