Our team traveled several hours over 2 days between Kharumwa, Geita, and Arusha to bring teacher training and outreach to communities in need. The journey to Geita alone was no small feat—requiring a grueling 19–20 hour drive, assuming no delays at the Tanzanian border. To navigate this challenging route, the team departed in the afternoon, crossed the border before midnight, rested overnight, continued traveling the next morning, and arrived by evening. Every mile traveled testified of the team’s dedication—and your support, which made this mission possible. We’re excited to share how God is moving through these efforts!
Kharumwa Outreach: Breaking Barriers to Education and Faith
In Kharumwa, we encountered heartbreaking levels of illiteracy. Many children leave school by 3rd grade, and girls are especially impacted due to cultural and religious restrictions. Yet hope is rising.
Thanks to your prayers and gifts, families are beginning to see the value of education and the love of Christ. Please pray for freedom from these barriers and for more children—especially girls—to be released into learning and faith.
We’re deeply thankful for two dedicated pastors who are making a powerful impact in Kharumwa. One faithfully planted a church in this under-served region, and the other—recently equipped through our 1for50 training—now shepherds the growing congregation alongside his young family. Through vibrant children’s ministry, they are reaching hearts and building a foundation of faith. Please pray for the ongoing VBS and outreach efforts, and for more children to know, love, and follow Jesus—transforming their generation from the inside out.
