Dignity and Love are not Exclusive: We are Created in God’s Image

During our worldwide outreaches I’m deeply moved by the dignity shown to marginalized communities in the name of Jesus.

These moving photos below were taken near Bangalore, India. In the photos you’ll see a mix of orphans supported through the Mission to Children and a number of blind families. Every outreach, our field partners invite the lost, the neglected, the blind, the leper, and the orphan to enjoy the abundant love of God through food, fellowship and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This specific outreach even featured a puppet show that the kids just fell over themselves enjoying.

One photo in haunts me delightfully: A blind man overwhelmed by the kindness he’s been shown at the Christmas outreach. This man, yes, all of us are made in God’s image. It’s glorious. It’s raw. And it’s the love of Jesus in action.

Dignity and love are not exclusive: We are created in God’s image. This past Christmas, thousands walked away from the outreaches with their heads held high, because God loves them, and now they know that.
