Our confidence continues to be in God. It is His word that will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). By reaching a child with the gospel, we believe that God will faithfully make His salvation known throughout the communities these children live in.
God transforms your generosity into meals, shelter, educational assistance, and Bible teaching for children oppressed by society. Every day, such children around the world are denied hope due to poverty, a lack of dignity, even abandonment. They merely survive outside the margins of society’s care—and they don’t know the true God who loves them.
We know that God sees these children, He loves them, and He desires that they be saved. This is why we launch Christmas and Easter gospel outreaches. We want children to experience His love in their time of need—so that His great name spreads out to their surrounding communities (Psalm 145:4).
One generation shall praise Your works to another,
And shall declare Your mighty acts. Psalm 145:4
Children of promise through the gospel
This is happening in South India! Three graduates from one of our original Beracah ministry hubs courageously shared God’s word and a meal with the poorest of the poor during the recent Christmas gospel outreaches. One of them is Aryan; we changed his name in this letter to protect his identity. Aryan came into the care of our Christian orphanage in India at the age of 4. By God’s grace, today Aryan is 28 and lives out a mission to bring the gospel to Dalit communities so that he can plant house churches.
God is doing something amazing! He is transforming people such as Aryan from children of charity to participants in the Great Commission. His word creates anew! Learning how God’s word is bearing fruit, one generation to the next, reminds me of why I cherish being part of His work through Mission to Children.
For His glory,
Byron Garmo, President
