VBS Outreach Feeds 1,500 Hungry Children in Burundi

During a July training trip to Burundi, our Kenyan partner Daniel and his 4 1for50 teammates facilitated a 3 -day Vacation Bible School (VBS) outreach. The team partnered with local Burundi churches to provide impoverished and malnourished children with meals, snacks, and the gospel. Most of the teachers who attended the team’s training sessions also volunteered to help during the VBS.

An overwhelming number of children showed up for each of the 3 days. Since the church building was too small to accommodate all of them, trees on the streets served as classrooms. Children shared their meals with each other, 2 children per plate, and took turns eating.

The VBS outreach fed meals and snacks to 1,500 hungry children and allowed them to hear the gospel with food in their stomachs.

MTC is grateful for your support, which enabled Daniel and his team to feed over a thousand hungry children in Burundi, share the gospel with them, and demonstrate God’s love.
